4.1. Problems and decisions.

4.1.1. Blitz CallerID Display works with Blitz KXTD TAPI Server.

  1. If at Blitz CallerID Display initialization there is an error at connection to server:
  2. If at Blitz CallerID Display initialization there is an error "The number of the clients Blitz KXTD TAPI Server is exceeded" that means that the amount of simultaneously working program Blitz CallerID Display has reached the maximum number, stipulated by the license of Blitz KXTD TAPI Server.
  3. If at Blitz CallerID Display initialization there is an error "Blitz KXTD TAPI Server is not ready to accept connection because the TAPI initialization is not finished yet", You need only to repeat the attempt once again in a minute.
  4. If during any moment of work Blitz CallerID Display there is an error "Access to line is forbidden" it means that administrator of Blitz KXTD TAPI Server has closed to you access to the EXT line which you selected. Ask your system administrator to open you the access to this line.

4.1.2. Blitz CallerID Display works with Microsoft TAPI Server.

You use Microsoft TAPI Server in this case you need follow the instructions:

  1. Press the button "Start" on the "Task manager", and then press "Run...". Input the command "tcmsetup /c name_Microsoft_TAPI-server" in the open window. As "name_Microsoft_TAPI-server" you need to input the name of your computer in the local network, that fulfils Microsoft TAPI server function. This name you can find out from your system administrator.
    Press the button "OK". Window informing about successful installation of Microsoft TAPI server will appear in a several seconds.

    Note:
    To make the installation of Microsoft TAPI client you can only in case if you entered to the OS Windows with user's name and password, which has administrator's right. Otherwise you'll see the message about error:

    In this situation you need to log of (Start/Shut down/log of/ok), and enter once again, using the user's name and password, which has administrator's right. Please consult with your system administrator. Repeat attempt of installation of Microsoft TAPI client.
  2. In case, the Microsoft TAPI server doesn't work, ask your system administrator to check on the serviceability of your local network and then serviceability of Microsoft TAPI server.
  3. If your local network is broken on several domain areas, the situation is possible, when Microsoft TAPI server is in one domain area and account under which you are in system is in other domain area. Ask your system administrator to recustomize Microsoft TAPI server, or your local network.
  4. If your name in system doesn't have access rights to TAPI-lines of PBX in Microsoft TAPI server settings, ask your system administrator to set in Microsoft TAPI server access to TAPI-lines for your name in system.

4.1.3. Blitz CallerID Display works with TAPI interface on your PC.

If during the initialization any EXT line of PBX among TAPI interface way not found, you will see next window:

If you have PBX Panasonic KX-TD:

  1. Check up if the cable RS-232 for KX-TD was soldered correct (how to solder the cable you can see in section Installation and connection with RS-232 port).
  2. If the number, to which RS-232 is connected, coincides with number of COM port which is pointed in TSP driver.
  3. If the COM port is enable in BIOS of computer.
  4. If parameters of COM port setting in PBX KX-TD coincides with parameters of COM port settings in TSP driver and with "Control panel/System/Hardware/Device manager/Ports Com and LPT/Properties of COM port you need/Port settings.
  5. If SMDR interface is enabled in KX-TD.
  6. Check up if TSP driver works: enter in "Start/Settings/Control Panel". If you have Windows XP, switch "Control Panel" to classic Panel. Open "Telephone and Modem/Advanced".
  7. In the window "Services and applications/Telephony" press by the right button of the mouse on "Panasonic KX-TD TSP" and press the button "Configure provider".
  8. In the opened window "Panasonic KX-TD TSP" in section "Option Settings" you must see the list of EXT telephone line in column "EXT" and in column "TAPI" opposite the lines that you selected should be set the parameter "ON".
